As part of the launch of myplacecumbria and to encourage people to visit our website, web users were invited to visit our site and take part in a free ‘online only' VIP Prize draw.
The prize was for 2 very lucky people to enjoy a full weekend in Cumbria, complete with accommodation for 2 nights at a Carlisle hotel, a cruise with Ullswater Steamers, a spa session courtesy of Clarins, and an afternoon of racing followed by Jools Holland & his Rhythm + Blues Orchestra with full hospitality.
The prizewinner Imelda Hawkins of Virgin Media said "I was thrilled on winning the competition, the prize was well thought out and very enjoyable. The myplacecumbria team were determined to show us a good time, making it a great weekend away".
Jools Holland played a full set and introduced Ruby Turner & Alison Moyet as his special guests, as a crowd of over 10,000 took in the atmosphere.
