In 2010, Carlisle's historic railway station, which dates back to 1847, was transformed into a contemporary mix of modern dining, lounge, kitchen and outdoor recreation spaces, catching the attention of all who saw it, thanks to DIY store Homebase.
This memorable advertisement saw the Homebase team carry out a
remarkable transformation of the station, with the help of 260 square metres of wallpaper, 1800 litres of paint, 40 kitchen units, 500 extras and 1500 square metres of flooring.
If you happen to alight at the station, keep your eyes open and you may be able to see the remains of the shoot.
