• Damson Gin: a sweet liqueur, made from local damsons harvested in the Lyth Valley near Kendal.
• Grasmere Gingerbread: Made to a secret recipe and still sold from the same shop in Grasmere that it was originally made in. William Wordsworth was apparently very fond of Grasmere Gingerbread and would often call in to buy some on his way home to Dove Cottage.
• Sticky Toffee Pudding: a moist sponge cake with prunes or dates, served with sticky toffee sauce. A delectable treat.
• Cumberland sausage: a long coiled, coarsely chopped sausage that is synonymous with Cumbria.
