the lake district

The world renowned Lake District is a magnificent location to host your next event - home to excellent venues and with the scenery, backdrops and activities to inspire and amaze you and your delegates.
The ancient market town of Kendal combines rich heritage with friendly charm and contemporary venues, and is an ideal venue for any corporate occasion. Combine this with the option of lakeside hotels and mountainous scenery around destinations such as Windermere and Grasmere, and you really are spoilt for choice.

In the heart of the northern Lake District, Keswick is ringed by mountains and lakes and is regarded as a premier destination for outdoor adventure. Keswick is also a vibrant market town with an

abundance of attractions and activities. Watch a performance at Theatre by the Lake, cruise on Derwentwater or ‘steam' on Ullswater, or simply enjoy taking in the wonderful views and natural beauty from the plethora of walking routes.

Kendal is only 6 miles from the M6 motorway and is seen as the natural gateway to the central Lakes. Oxenholme on the West Coast mainline railway is a mere 2 miles away, with the Lakes Line providing direct rail access to Windermere. Keswick is well served by buses from all over Cumbria, and also easily accessed by car, with many parking facilities in the town. Junction 40 at Penrith is the closest motorway exit, with the A66 road leading directly to the town.
