michelin stars retained 2011

The 2011 Michelin Guide has seen all four Michelin-star restaurants in Cumbria retain their coveted status for 2011.

The restaurants are the Sharrow Bay in Ullswater, which has now retained its status for 15 consecutive years, Holbeck Ghyll near Windermere, which has held a Michelin star for 11 consecutive years, L'Enclume in Cartmel and The Samling, also near Windermere.

Both Holbeck Ghyll and L'Enclume recently featured in the BBC TV show 'The Trip', starring comedians and actors Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, who visited six restaurants across the Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbrian regions for the programme.
